Critically acclaimed writer Catherine Czerkawska will share extracts from her latest novel The Posy Ring. An award-winning author and playwright, Catherine has written plays for the stage, ITV and BBC Radio 4, and has published numerous short stories. Her 8 novels include The Curiosity Cabinet, shortlisted for the Dundee International Book Prize and serialised on BBC radio in 2013. The Posy Ring is a ‘spin off’ novel with the same fictional Scottish island setting and is the first in a planned series entitled ‘The Annals of Flowerfield’. Catherine is currently hard at work on the 2nd book in the series: The Marigold Child.
Born in Leeds, of English, Irish and Polish parentage, Catherine moved to Scotland with her family at the age of 12 and has lived there on and off ever since. She lives and works in a 200 year old cottage in Ayrshire with her artist husband, Alan Lees.
