Details

With over a million copies sold worldwide, Ann Cleeves is one of Britain’s most successful crime fiction novelists. To celebrate her 30th book in 30 years, we will be hosting an exclusive afternoon “audience with” the author of the much-loved Vera and Shetland series, now huge TV drama hits on ITV and BBC. Over tea and cake, Ann will share stories of her writing career, including how she writes the perfect crime and what it’s like having your characters brought to life on screen.

In 2015, Vera was voted the UK’s favourite fictional detective. In the same year, Ann also chaired the prestigious Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival; her Shetland title, Thin Air, was nominated for the Scottish Crime Novel of the Year; and she was shortlisted for the prestigious Crime Writers’ Association Dagger in the Library award.
