Take a collection of vivid folk tales from all over India, translate them into English from their original language, then tell them from memory, whilst a DJ mixes music and soundscapes live – and you have Tongue Tied & Twisted!
This unique and vibrant show is the creation of British Indian storyteller, Peter Chand and UK music producer PKCthefirst, with traditional tales collected from 50 South Asian elders.
With tales of goddesses, spells cast and broken, and a dove that knows many secrets – Tongue Tied & Twisted is a thrilling collaboration that blends the ancient and mixes it with the now…
‘Peter transports the listener into his world with remarkable energy and great expression… His cheeky smile, wry humour, and rich voice are a winning combination… I was spellbound’ Kim Normanton, BBC Radio 4
