We’re delighted to be hosting a delicious afternoon tea with award-winning historical novelist Elizabeth Chadwick, in the exquisite setting of Rochdale Town Hall.

Elizabeth will discuss her latest novel The Autumn Throne, showcasing her meticulous research into Eleanor of Aquitaine, one of medieval history’s most fascinating female figures.

A New York Times bestselling author, Elizabeth has written over 20 historical novels, translated into 18 languages. Her first novel, The Wild Hunt, won a Betty Trask Award and The Scarlet Lion was voted one of the top ten landmark historical novels of the decade.  Elizabeth’s nineteenth novel, To Defy a King, won the Romantic Novelists’ Association Historical Novel Prize in 2011.
